Mayfield Clinic

Mayfield Clinic is for people looking for private general practice care for a broad range of everyday health concerns. Its private GPs assess medical problems, give advice, prescribe medication where appropriate, order tests and investigations, and refer on to specialists or back into the NHS where needed.

The GPs can help with aches and pains, allergies, coughs and colds, eye problems, infections, mental health, pregnancy, skin problems, menopause, lumps and bumps, sexual health and blood tests. The clinic also provides general practice services, annual medicals, annual health checks, reports and medicals, immunisations, prescriptions, referrals and weight loss support.

Home test kits are available across several clinical areas, including digestive and gut health, hormone and reproductive health, thyroid health, respiratory and infectious disease, heart and cardiovascular health, allergy and immunity, kidney and urinary health, metabolic and nutritional health, and sexual health.

Mayfield Clinic works with both members and guests. Members have an ongoing patient record with the clinic, while guests have a temporary record for their consultation. The clinic expects patients to keep their NHS GP registration, including for services such as COVID vaccines, and can share consultation notes with an NHS GP with consent.

Its GPs trained in the NHS and continue to work part-time in the NHS. Clinical Psychologists are also mentioned, but they only see patients referred by Mayfield Clinic GPs.

Mayfield Clinic is not an emergency service. It does not deal with life-threatening conditions, major trauma, sudden or heavy bleeding, NHS prescriptions, or prescription requests for controlled drugs, benzodiazepines or opiate pain-killers.
